The alumina sol derived from this product possesses characteristics such as weak acidity, small nano-sized particles, large specific surface area, high transparency, uniform dispersion, long-term stability without aggregation, adhesive properties, thixotropy, adsorption, and on-demand preparation and usage. These features make it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Applications

1. Application in the Refractory Industry
Aluminum sol has adhesiveness, film-forming properties, and heat resistance. It can be used as a binder for inorganic fibers such as glass fibers, asbestos, ceramics, etc., and can be sprayed as needed. It can also be mixed with refractory material powder or inorganic fibers for the preparation of high-temperature refractory materials.

2. Application in the Inorganic Refractory Fiber Cotton Industry
As an aluminum source, aluminum sol has a certain viscosity. Through the spinning process, it forms fiber precursors, which, after high-temperature treatment, result in various types of inorganic refractory fiber cotton containing aluminum oxide. Examples include aluminum oxide fibers, aluminum silicate fibers, high silica-alumina fibers, etc.

3. Application in the Aerogel Industry
Used as an aluminum source to form hydrogels, or combined with silica to form silica/alumina composite hydrogels. After drying, composite aerogels are obtained, which are used to enhance the rigidity and temperature resistance of aerogels.

4. Application in Petrochemical Catalysis
Aluminum sol, as a precursor, can be used to prepare active alumina, high-purity alumina, and alumina-based catalyst supports or molecular sieves in the field of petrochemical catalysis.

5. Application in the Textile Fiber Industry
Used in the treatment of textile fibers to enhance fiber elasticity, smoothness, anti-static properties, and dust resistance. It is also used in the treatment of fishing nets, climbing ropes, etc., to increase the friction coefficient, improve strength, impact resistance, etc.
